"Wait" mouse cursor on task switched to Opera

Postby Beholder » Mon May 18, 2009 3:06 pm

Hi again,

Using EG 037-r965, I have this macro set to one button on remote:
Gyr7.Button.93
Macro Switch applications {Alt+Escape}
Emulate Keystrokes: {Alt+Escape}
Bring to front
Stop processing this event

This macro allows me to cycle between tasks (applications that are running) in Windows XP SP2. A "bring to front" window action was needed here because when an app was mimimised and is switched into via Alt+Esc, it would not be automatically in front of other apps.

However, after I added the "bring to front" action, when I switch MULTIPLE times between Opera browser and any other app (=just repeatedly press the button), the mouse cursor starts showing "hourglass" when being switched to Opera. When I move the mouse, the hourglass changes into normal cursor.

Not really a bug, an annoyance perhaps. Maybe a clean and simple "Switch to next window/task" EG window action would mitigate all these complications. Alt+Tab keystroke emulation can't be used since just one press of it switches only between two apps.

recently this happened semi-randomly when using EG to run apps, i.e. the mouse cursor stays at some other 'state' than the default arrow.
