I decided to go the cheap route and buy the Kinamax MCE Remote off of Amazon. I assumed it used a similar driver (if not the same) as the MS MCE remote, and that I could update it using the MCE Driver update.
Boy was that a mistake. The USB Receiver actually just loads itself in as a USB keyboard and mouse, and sends a volley of keyboard commands to the computer. The volley includes typical default play commands so that it works with a multitude of programs.
The obvious problem with this occurs in my situation because if I am doing something else on my computer, they keyboard commands just send to the active application.
Is there anyway that I can hijack the commands being received by the IR receiver, or even the HID Keyboard device and send them only to EventGhost?
I have posted a screenshot of my devices page with the devices the receiver loads highlighted.

I have tried using the MCE driver to replace the base driver loaded for the USB Receiver, but Windows says the driver is not compatible with my device. Can I fool Windows into allowing it, and if I do fool Windows, would the MCE driver work?
Thanks in advance for help. I usually hate asking for support on a forum without contributing myself, but much of this is outside of my level of knowledge.
