Hi Jitterjames,

dont want to steal everyone´s time by discussing this in more detail. I would be very happy if you were right. What I dont understand ... On the main page it says that Eventghost is open source. If thats true why are we dependent on Bitmonster at all ? The code is all there no ?

Anyway, I have seen quite a few freeware or open source apps die because the main programmer left. This does not seem to happen to commercial programs quite so often but I dont have valid statistical data to support that claim of course :D

the code is open source, you can download it easily, modify it do what you want with it.

The 2 problems we are faced with are.

1) access to the svn files and an inability to move the svn to a new server. As I understand it we have access to a snapshot of the latest version of the svn, but the sub-versions.

2) access to the forum database an inability to move the forum to a new server

There is also the matter of the domain name, but this is not really all that critical IMO.

There is also the fact, that there don't appear to be any developers who are currently interested in actually developing the core, though Stottle is working on his own program based on EventGhost, which I hear is very promising.

So the site now has a SatoriHub downloads page as well as an EventGhost downloads page. The source/exe for SVN revision 1482 are now available for download, and new versions will be posted as appropriate.

Hey Brett,

I downloaded the latest version from your site (r1482) and all is good. I am personally very happy to see that the latest version of the Broadcaster plugin is there (handy for users of VoxCommando). I'm just wondering why your wonderful MCE remote plugin for Vista / Win7 is not included. Would it be possible to add this to the standard install? I think that a lot of people get confused and discouraged trying to use the old version of the plugin on Vista/Win7.

I don't have write access to SVN, and the build is a pull from SVN. Pako has write access and said he was going to post a poll for which plugins from the forum people want him to add to SVN. I was waiting for that to request my Vista/Win7 MceRemote plugin get added.

That's the only reason.

OK. Well, hopefully Pako is subscribed to this topic, because I haven't seen a poll and I think this is one of the most important
"new" plugins.

if the domain name expire, than we can buy eventghost.org right?
i think copy as many as possible from the forum and svn.
if bitmonster let this domain expire we will buy it and move every thing back.

also good to see that people are busy on this.
i think eventghost is great and i'm hoping that this continues even without bitmonster.

Diablo, I believe that Bitmonster was going to hang on to the eventghost.com domain for a year or two.
Read about that here...

Does anyone know why EventGhost was forked and named SatoriHub?
I've checked it out but still like EventGhost better.
