X10 Driver

Postby StevenPr » Sun Oct 15, 2006 7:54 pm

I am having trouble with the X10 driver.

After being used enough times, a random amount of time, the program just stops responding to X10 input. The green area should flash red when keys are detected stays green. Sometimes just sitting unused then when I try to use it it's down.

I am using the ATI receiver. I didn't have this problem with the ATI driver.

Disabling/enabling X10 or closing and restarting EventGhost does nothing. Only a reboot will recover. Unplugging the USB device until Windows detects it is gone then plugging it back in seems to be the only recovery method and it's not 100%. Any ideas?

Two ideas:
1. Do you have connected the USB-Receiver through an USB-Hub?
2. Do you use the ATI driver (that is also listed as an additional update on "Windows Update") or the generic one that you can download here?

I'm using the generic driver. It is connected through a powered USB hub.

Please check if the same problem exists, if you connect the receiver directly to the PC. There were often reported similiar problem to me, that all were caused by bad USB hubs.
