Hey Pako, is it possible to use this with Windows Media Center (Win7x64)? When 7MC is maximized the menu is not visible. Do you have any solution?

I do not use programs like Windows Media Center (WMC hereinafter), and the like XBMC.
In my opinion, these centers, while impressive, but it's at the expense of simplicity of control and of real performance.
I prefer single-purpose programs, their utility value is much higher. For example, MPC-HC, MediaMonkey and Radio? Sure!
(I do not watch television, so a good TV application I do not known).
However, I understand that, someone else entirely conform to the multimedia center.

I then had to overcome myself and run the WMC (although I do not x64, but it probably will not mind).
Yes, I must acknowledge that OSM is hidden under the WMC window.
I found only one solution. Lies in the fact that for OSM, you will switch WMC to Windows mode:
OSM-WMC.jpg
OSM-WMC.jpg (18.15 KiB) Viewed 1942 times
I know it's not perfect. But perhaps it's better than nothing.
To make it at least somewhat acceptable, I recommend the WMC window set to the greatest possible size.

Thanks for that idea Pako. I did something similar but I was wondering if you knew how to give the OSM focus if it doesn't have it already.

Hi

I just wanted to say I really like the menu, I'm using it to switch between Media Portal and WMC and MPC. It works like a charm.

Thank you!

Any plans to add skin support like "Show OSD" function have? Maybe you can copy most work from that function.

It would be nice to see more beautiful menu, current ones makes me feel like i'm in DOS . But still, great work. Thanks.

anyone know how to create a pop up using the "Show OSD" function that will take this event from an android phone:

TCP.Phonestate.RINGING ['10.0.1.12', u'413335XXXX']

and create a pop up that says "Call on Tom's phone from 413-335-XXXX". The ip 10.0.1.12 I want to map as "Tom's" and then the incoming phone number i would like to divide up with dashes but it's not necessary. Ive got a couple phones that i want to translate the IPs to names on also.

Thanks for the help

This is the BEST PLUG-IN EVER!!!

Starting where you left off in the directory would be KILLER.

One button delete after watching a vidio would be the icing on the muffin.

This is a GREAT plug-in Pako.

It's nice to hear it. But you probably have in mind the OSE plugin. :)

It is an interesting idea, but I'm afraid that's impossible.
Each uses a different player and I think that there is no universal way of knowing that the playing ended.

Thanx for a very good plugin.

I am not used to Python and have an issue. When I put swedish letters (åäö) in a OSM it works just nicely. But when I put them in a "OSM created from expression" (see attached screenshot) strange characters appear. Since i use a python script to parse a webpage which contain swedish letters, I would be glad to get it to work.

New version 0.2.3.
Added some missing strings.
The download link can be found in the first post of this topic.

Sorry, but this post I completely overlooked.
However, help is very easy.
Instead of the string "test åäö" use this: u"test åäö".
And it will fine (small u means that it is a unicode string).

Code: Select all
EventGhost 0.4.1.r1507
OS - XP SP3 32BIT
INTEL 4 CPU 3Ghz
3061 ram
Igorplug-USB

Really sorry for posting such a silly question but i tried many thing and i am not able to get how this thing works
I mean when we define the Even string (what exactly is that) how to define it...
For example
Suppose i want to add Calc and mediaplayer classic to a menu...
When i press the button it must show the osd.
When i select it must execute but that doesn't happen... How to put and where to put the path exactly to the executable file.
Thank you.
