Yes you can but not exactly now.
I'm must prepare test version for you for scan MCE remote button codes.
Do you have any problem with iMON PAD?

Thanks for your reply.

I have not tried using this plugin yet, and I never use the iMON remote, as I think it is overcomplicated. I prefer the MCE remote, and have a Microsoft bluetooth keyboard and mouse for when I need more control.

I am not having much luck with EventGhost so far. I installed it, and added the MCE remote addon. It said I should disable the HID service, so I did. It does not seem to work, so I tried enabling the service again, and it still does not work at all.

I have only been trying out EventGhost to see if I can use my MCE remote with the iMON receiver, as I did not want to use the iMON Manager software for anything but the FrontView display, as I think it is pretty buggy.

I think I will actually just carry on using the external USB receiver for the MCE remote, as I do not want to add any more complexity to my system just for the sake of using the internal case iMON receiver (that is unless I can find any use for other EventGhost functions, but it seems that all the programs I use already have pretty good support for the MCE remote).

The Soundgraph receiver works totally different from normal MCE receivers, that's why you are not getting it to work. You'd have to use this plugin for it to work properly. Even then it has to be one of the supported HID types listed in the thread.

My MCE remote is not working since I installed EventGhost and the MCE plugin with the MCE receiver. I have not done anything to do with iMON yet. The iMON receiver is still working with the iMON remote (which I do not usually use).

@Johnson
If you show me how to reset the EventGhost settings, and get my MCE remote working with the MCE receiver again, I will then follow any instructions to get the MCE remote working with the iMON receiever, so that I can give you the codes you need.

Yes, but as i perceived u are using a Soundgraph Device with PID 0036. My one is 0038. They could be different.
Whatever. I need 64Bit because my HTPC has 4GB RAM. AND i dont have a 32Bit Version of Windows 7 ;)

OK. I have tested my iMON on a WinXP 32Bit System now, and the Disconnect/Connect Problem is still the same, so it has nothing to do with the OS. I assume its a Bug in the Eventghost HID Interface, because the IRSS from Mediaportal is working fine.

I was referring to getting the soundgraph receiver working with eventghost not the mce remote. The soundgrah recievers definately work with mce remotes. A lot of them come with mce remotes.

This problem is discussed in this whole thread since this Post

And theres no solution for now... and i think there will never be a solution, cause noone cares about it. The problem ISN'T this Plugin, its Eventghost itself which causes this behavior, because with IRSS from Mediaportal it works.

Is the IRSS source available? EG only uses standard winapi. Maybe it can be circumvented but I still think the device is buggy.

Yes it is. It can be found here. The important part seems to be in "Imon USB Receivers.cs".

The Disconnect/Connect "error" occurs at the same time the HID Eventghost Interface is triggered. Thats what i think at least. If i select a Device in the "Generic HID" Plugin, the Error follows. If i press "ok" in the Soundgraph iMon config dialog to exit the dialog, the error follows. Same happens with every other plugin which is based on HID functionality...

IRSS seems to use the raw input api.

Maybe someone with a little bit programming experience and such a device can modify the GetDeviceDescriptions in EG's HID.py to detect which step causes the disconnect. Some continues in the while loop should do it.
